FS ENGINEER (TÜV RHEINLAND) PROGRAM

Certification Prerequisite:

Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of functional safety.

University degree (Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering) or equivalent engineer level responsibilities status certified by the employer.

Attending the course and successfully passing the Exam.

Note: Persons, who do not meet the business experience criteria may participate in the training and the exam. If they pass the exam successfully the FS Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) certificate will be issued to them when they have achieved 3 years of experience in the area of functional safety.

Course Objective:

The main objective is to provide all engineers involved in safety instrumented systems with the basic and necessary knowledge about functional safety, based on the leading international functional safety standards IEC 61508 and IEC 61511. The course will provide detailed information and example problems for understanding and mastering the requirements of IEC61508 / IEC61511 functional safety. Engineers attending the course will be qualified for TÜV Rheinland certification upon successfully passing the course exam.

Course Program:

Due to current Covid-19 conditions, course schedules are subject to change based on course interest and current conditions. Courses will be provided in nine (9) 3-hour live online classes. The examination will be Online and online proctor by the instructor. Classes include course material (PDF) and TÜV Rhineland certificate (upon attending all classes, meeting eligibility requirements, and passing the final Examination).

In-Person Class and Exam Schedule and Location:

FS TECHNICIAN (TÜV RHEINLAND) PROGRAM

Certification Prerequisite:

Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of functional safety.

Certificate in a relevant Operator and Technician discipline, or equivalent level responsibilities certified by employer on company letterhead.

Attending the course and successfully passing the Exam.
